American singer, songwriter, and actress

Alicia Keys is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and actress. A classically trained pianist from New York City, she released her chart-topping debut album Songs In A Minor in 2001. The following year, Keys won Grammy Awards for Best R&B Album and Best New Artist, as well as Song of the Year, Best R&B Song, and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for Fallin'.


Her 2003 album The Diary of Alicia Keys charted at No.2 on the Billboard 200 and racked up another set of Grammys for Best R&B Album, Best R&B Song and and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for I Ain't Got You, plus Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals for My Boo with Usher (which she also performed with him at Apple Music’s Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2024). Keys went on to release a string of acclaimed albums including As I Am, The Element of Freedom, Girl On Fire, and Alicia, and she earned two more Grammys each for the No. 1 hits No One and Empire State of Mind with Jay-Z.
She has appeared in the films The Nanny Diaries and The Secret Life of Bees, the holiday special and album Apple Music Live: Alicia Keys in 2022, and as a coach on the competition TV series The Voice. Her music and life story formed the basis of the Tony Award-winning 2023 Broadway musical and soundtrack Hell's Kitchen.
