Leon Thomas was an American actor, singer, songwriter, and producer. He recorded for Flying Dutchman, Blues Time, Mega, the Italian Palcoscenico label, Portrait, and Mapleshade as a leader.

Thomas released the album Spirits Known and Unknown which includes the track YES IT IS. After moving to New York in 1958, he toured with a show sponsored by the Apollo Theatre.

He released Three Shades of Blue with Johnny Hodges and Oliver Nelson, and later released MUTT featuring Masego, which includes the track LUCID DREAMS. Thomas appeared as a sideman on a Louis Armstrong record in 1970 and was a member of the American rock band Santana.
