Dr. Dre is an American rapper, record producer, record executive, and actor. He was a key part of N.W.A., the first hardcore rap group to have a No. 1 album on the Billboard charts. Dre released his solo debut album The Chronic in 1992, followed by 1999's 2001. He also collaborated with Snoop Dogg on the 2024 album Missionary. His most popular songs include Still D.R.E., Forgot About Dre, and The Next Episode.
Dre has earned many Grammy Awards, including Producer of the Year in 2000. He also founded the record label Aftermath Entertainment in 1996 and has contributed to the career development of Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and myriad other hip-hop artists. Outside of music, he has appeared in the films Set It Off and Training Day.
