

Wynton Marsalis
American trumpeter and composer
Wynton Marsalis is an American trumpeter and composer. He played in various bands before releasing his self-titled debut album in 1982, followed by releases such as Black Codes (From The Underground), Standard Time, Vol. 2: Intimacy Calling, and A Swingin’ Sesame Street Celebration. In 1991, he was appointed Musical Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center and has since released many recordings as the leader of the orchestra.
