Daddy Yankee is a Puerto Rican singer, rapper, and actor. He emerged in the early 1990s through appearances on DJ Playero's underground rap mixtapes. Daddy Yankee is known for his song Gasolina which introduced reggaeton to the global mainstream. His most popular songs include Lo Que Pasó, Pasó and La Santa with Bad Bunny. He released the album Barrio Fino in 2004, which won him the Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Music Album in 2005. He has also released other albums including Prestige and Talento de Barrio. Daddy Yankee has appeared in the documentary Héctor El Father: Conocerás La Verdad, the film Daddy Yankee - Viña del Mar, and the series Everybody Loves Natti.
