Hans Zimmer is a German film composer. He composed the score for The Lion King, for which he won an Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, and a Grammy Award for Best Arrangement, Instrumental, and Vocals for Circle of Life. He released the album The Lion King with Sir Elton John and Tim Rice in 1994, and later worked with director James Newton Howard on the soundtracks for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. He released the albums Inception (Music from the Motion Picture) and Interstellar. In 2017, he went on tour with a full orchestra, which was documented in the film Hans Zimmer Live In Prague. He appears in the documentaries Ennio and The Sound of 007. He won a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score in 2021 for his work on Dune.
