Amy Poehler is an American actress. She starred in Parks and Recreation from 2009 to 2015, winning a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series Musical or Comedy in 2014. Poehler has appeared in films such as Mean Girls, Blades of Glory, Are You Here, and Sisters, the latter with John Cena. She studied under Del Close at the ImprovOlympics in Chicago, joined the Upright Citizens Brigade sketch improv group, and led its relocation to New York City. Beyond acting, Poehler has directed Moxie and the documentary Lucy and Desi, and was an executive producer for Broad City and Harlem.
