Dawn French is a British actress, comedian, and writer. She formed a comedy duo with Jennifer Saunders and began performing on the club circuit as the Menopause Sisters. French earned her initial break as part of the influential alternative comedy troupe, The Comic Strip. French has appeared in television series including The Young Ones, French and Saunders, Absolutely Fabulous, Delicious, Murder Most Horrid, The Vicar of Dibley, Lark Rise to Candleford, and Psychoville. She also produced the film Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie.
