James Bay is a British singer-songwriter. He rose to fame with his breakthrough hit Hold Back the River and released the albums Chaos and the Calm, Changes All The Time, and Electric Light. He also collaborated with Jon Batiste on the single Sunshine In The Room. Bay developed his live chops through extensive performance, began learning guitar at age 11, and moved to Brighton at 18 to study classical guitar and perform on the open-mic circuit. He opened for Taylor Swift on her '1989' tour.
